St. John The Baptist Parish Church. Our parish church in Liliw, Laguna was built in 1605 in Romanesque style. Like most churches, it also suffered from earthquake in 1880 and fire in 1898.


But due to its religious parishioners, it has been well preserved and continues to get developed over time. Up to this day, Liliwenos, as the towns people are called, continue to preserve and beautify the church in the desire to restore its former glory.

Lilio Church

The Saint John The Baptist Parish (Lilio Church) in Liliw, Laguna was founded in 1605. The original church and convent were badly damaged in 1880 during a strong earthquake, while the reconstructed church was partly burned in 1898.

In the land of slippers in Liliw, Laguna, the Arabela restaurant is the foodie place to be in. A low-ceiling restaurant which is cute and patronized by even foreigners. Named after their daugthers Ara and Bela, Bobby and Tonet Camello started the restaurant by just selling cakes and brownies. They serve cakes, pastries, pasta, pizza and coffee.

The people of Liliw celebrates their town feast every 29th of August in honor of St. John the Baptist. They also celebrate the feast of San Isidro Labrador every May 15 and the "Linggo ng Kultura" every 2nd week of May.

Tsinelas Festival

Liliw is now known as the "Footwear Capital of Laguna" and people all over Metro Manila are going all the way down South to check out the latest designs in slip-ons, sandals and slippers. Thanks to the first festival and all the attention it had then, businessmen and plain customers are mostly returnees going ga-ga over the thriving town of Liliw, especially during summer and Christmas seasons.
